It filters stuff down to .9 micron which is much finer then the other filters I concidered. Flow rate is very good and the clear canister lets you see when the cermic filter needs cleaning. the supplied wrenches and cleaning pad make it easy to clean cartridge.
Terrific product

For the price you can't beat this kind of portable filter. Although I don't use it to filter questionable water, it's great for simple jobs.

I have tried disposable water filters in the past. We are full time RVers and have used many different filter types. Most of the good filters had a very low water flow. This filter has a very good water flow and does a great job filtering hard water. The disposable type filters would last about two to four weeks in a bad area and cost nearly $20 each and they didn't have as good of filtering properties either. Being able to clean this filter many times really has reduce our operating costs. I have already cleaned thisSO filter element several times. A word of CAUTION: The filter element can be broken very easy. So I alway carry a spare element in case of an accident.

Bought the CX90 to give it a shot. Worked great, vastly improved taste. What was once bad well water, is not odorless and tasteless.
excellent
